When you work as an employee in a hairdressing job, their can be a few restrictions e.g. you often cannot set your own prices. Some hairdressing jobs may limit your creative freedom as you may be required to follow specific salon guidelines or adhere to certain styles dictated by your employer. As an employee, in a hairstylist job your schedule is typically determined by your employer. This means you may have less flexibility in managing your work-life balance. When you have a hairdresser job, your clients are generally considered clients of the salon rather than your personal clientele. This means that if you leave the salon, you may not be able to take your clients with you. When you have a stylist job and are not truly self-employed, you may have to share a portion of your earnings with the salon owner. By being truly self-employed, you retain all the profits you generate and have the potential to earn more money. In a hair stylist job you are subject to the rules and policies of the salon. You may have limited control over the direction of the business or the services offered. Being self-employed gives you the independence to create your own brand, set your own standards, and run your business the way you see fit. In a hair salon job you have limited say in important decisions regarding the salon's operations, product choices, or marketing strategies. Being self-employed allows you to make all the decisions that affect your business, giving you greater control over your professional path.
