She made me feel comfortable from the start, she asked what I wanted, gave some advice and then we made an agreement on how to have it cut. I went in for a simple cut and asked for my split ends to be trimmed. The so- called hairdresser did not have a clue about how to deal with split ends and instead just took off the overall length of my hair. When I challenged them and asked why they have not addressed my issue, they just changed the topic.

I visited the salon today (1st October 2015) for the first time after having gone to two other salons within a week who quite frankly ruined my hair or refused to do as I requested.
I cannot thank and praise Robert enough for his understanding and listening to my request. He turned what was a disaster into a fabulous cut and colour removing the orange that I had been left with from a previous salon. i would certainly recommend his skills to anyone.

As a student it's very difficult to find a hairdresser you can trust in a different city, but I had a cut and colour done by Martin and it's fabulous!
All the staff were very friendly and Martin was super polite and chatty and it made my experience a very enjoyable one. He listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered an amazing quality haircut and colour and at a very good price.
I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone!

I leave every time highly satisfied with her work. I've sampled many other establishments in the past, there has been none that can compare to this groups talent. I had my first appointment with Robert on the 23/04/15 and couldn't be more happier with the outcome. Robert really made me feel at ease as I was changing my style and colour completely and felt a bit nervous, there was no need. Today was my first visit to the salon recommended to me off a family member and friend. I was a bit nervous about the colour since I had tried to dye it at home myself the month before which left me with yellow roots. Kelly done an amazing job fixing it, my blonde is all 1 colour with no yellow left in sight. Very happy with the service and the out come :-D would defo recommended it and will 100% be returning.

I absolutely love this place and have come here to get my hair cut since UNI about 6-7 years ago and I wouldn't go anywhere else.The staff are friendly, the service infallible. My favourite hairdresser is Robert as he is my Hairy Godmother, because he does magic with my hair every time. I have never walked away unhappy and he always listens to what I want no matter how crazy. Once you come here you will stay faithful to Nicholas Mark, I cannot fault it!

Work commitments mean that I've had to cancel my app't with Martin for a colour on Tuesday 2nd December; however I hope to see him again in the new year! I took advantage of the half price online offer on my first visit and I was thrilled with the results. I went to Martin for highlights and a cut and received the results and service I would expect from a £150 top London salon for £31. Martin listened to what I wanted for my color, instantly understood what I meant and then explained how we could go about achieving the look in a way that was healthy for my hair. Having long blonde hair which is easily damaged I appreciated that he wasn’t suggesting a quick fix and instead looking for long term solutions to reduce damage and prolong the highlighted blonde color I want. I have used most top salons in Jesmond and paid arm and leg for color in London, Martin is without a doubt the most knowledgeable and focused colorist I have come across and at this price, a hidden gem. It is an added bonus that the time in the salon flies with a good atmosphere and great conversation.

Just had my hair cut today by rob, I had a free consultaion a couple of days a couple of days ago and rob was great, I needed a brand new style as had long hair but rarely wore it down. Rob gave great advice and I was left looking forward to my appointment. Went in today had a colour and a total new attle...left transformed. Robert was a great laugh! We had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back in 6 weeks! All staff were friendly and it was a lovley relaxed atmosphere.

Greg is a great hairstylist. In all honesty, he gave my head a style that so many other so called "professionals" out there could not. Can't speak highly enough of Irina. I can honestly say, until going to this salon last year, I'd rather have gone to the dentist's than to have my hair cut! My hair is difficult to manage - very fine with random kinks and waves that oppose most efforts at styling. I've been to countless salons and paid lots of money, only to find that every stylist, at the end of the process, would have to straighten my hair to within an inch of it's life to make it conform to the style that they wanted it to fit. The result used to last until the first hint of humidity, then it was all undone, and I could never reproduce it myself.
The difference this time, I realised, was that Irina really listened to me, advised me, then cut a style that suited MY hair - rather than trying to force my hair into any style-of-the-moment that it just can't hold. She even said we should AVOID using straighteners as they would make my fine hair lose body. She then gave me excellent advice on how to style it myself. I also loved the fact that she was friendly and put me at ease, but without incessant chatter. I left the salon feeling relaxed, pampered and very happy. The result was the best haircut I've ever had - it suited my hair, my face shape and my lifestyle and it continued to look good for months. Thank you, Irina

I was very satisfied by the service that they provided. I wanted a haircut (including a fringe!) and colouring. Irina listened to me very carefully and asked questions to make sure that she understood what I wanted. I only showed her a thumbnail picture (through my i phone)of the hair cut I was after, and she gave me the exact style that I asked for. This is the first time in my life that I felt that a stylist paid attention to what I wanted rather than imposing what they think would suit me the best. I am very pleased with the results and I get many compliments about my new hair style and colour. Irina takes her job very seriously and she is very good at it.

I just came back from the hair salon and I was extremely satisfied with my new hairstyle. I've never been to a hair salon in newcastle before so it was difficult to decide which one to go for but found this salon on google and they had lots of good reviews so I decided to give it a go. The results were amazing. I had no idea which style would suit me when I came in but Rob was a wonderful consultant and I went for his recommended style. Absolutely love the transformation and my hair looks a lot better than before. My husband also loves it very much, The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Visited this salon for the first time a few weeks ago to have the Kerastraight treatment applied. The staff were very friendly and professional and I am absolutely delighted with the results of the treatment. Having struggled with my thick frizzy hair for years I can now easlily blow dry and maintain my hair with no frizz and shiny reults. I would recommend this treatment to anyone with frizzy / wavy / unmanageable hair, as it is worth every penny. I will continue to have this done every 6 months. Fantatsic.
